Consultancy

We offer language and intercultural consultancy in action research, communications strategies, training solutions, publications, international communications expertise, events,  advisory services and labour market information. These are just a few examples of our successes.

Action research

Our ‘Heathrow Talking to the World’ language skills audit report with recommendations highlights the challenges and opportunities for effective communication in a global hub.

Communications strategies

We produced the ‘Minding the Language Gap’ report for London Underground, supporting their implementation of a communications strategy for international visitors and London residents.

Advisory services

The London Development Agency-funded Regional Language Network London website provided comprehensive language and cultural advice for businesses, advisers, students, jobseekers and language service providers until March 2010.  Visit the legacy site at www.rln-london.com.

Training solutions

We created the Welcoming the World cultural awareness training, assessment and resources in 2010.  The programme promotes outstanding customer service for international visitors before, during and after the 2012 Games.

Publications

Commissioned by UK Trade and Investment London Region, we authored a suite of six international communication guides for exporting companies in 2008.

Events

Our ‘Making the most of community language skills’ initiative brought together a wide range of London organisations in a highly successful consultation event.

International communications expertise

We recorded the language and cultural DVD clips on the Institute of Export’s International Trade TV site, developed and hosted by GuruOnline since 2009.

Labour market information

‘The World in one City’ research report explored the language skills of London’s residents. For the first time, UK-wide data from a recruitment agency population of 1.7 million was used to analyse the language skills available in London by comparison with the rest of the UK.
